BiographyGianluca Cilia is 9 years old. He was born in Malta in 2007 and is the 2nd of 3 children. He currently attends ‘St.Francis School’ in Birkirkara. It became apparent from a very tender age that Gianluca had a passion for singing. He would sing along to any tune on the radio and would entertain anyone with his joyful soul and passionate singing. He showed a real interest at the age of 6, when he started singing and music theory lessons. Gianluca used to join her sister when she had singing sessions with her vocal coach and loved the idea of interpreting different songs he likes. Her mother booked a session for him too when she saw he was interested and before he knew it, he was taking it seriously and started taking part in competitions. Gianluca started participating in various local festivals where he has always been praised and encouraged to keep on nourishing his talent. In 2016 he won the overall Grand Prix of the First International Arpeggio Festival organised by Erseb Productions. This year Gianluca has won the Maltese national selection and will be representing Malta at the 2017 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Tbilisi in November – a dream come true! Apart from his passion for singing, Gianluca loves writing and aspires to become a professional singer and author.
