Biography

Muireann McDonnell is 11 years old and comes from a seaside town called Skerries, near Dublin. She lives with her parents and three brothers and has a dog called Agnes. She will represent Ireland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Suile Glasa’ which translates as ‘Green Eyes’.

Muireann is a student of music theory, singing, piano and guitar. She also enjoys writing her own songs. Muireann has performed with well-known and popular Irish artists. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports with her brothers including Gaelic football with her club Skerries Harps.

Muireann is proud to present Ireland at Junior Eurovision this year and believes that her song is special. She is looking forward to making friends with people from so many different countries and would like people to visit Ireland as well. “We are a small country but we have so much to give. I love our music scene. We have so much original music and that is important to me,” she says.
